The composer sets this section with a homophonic texture and uses both brass and woodwinds to carry the melody. By contrast, the B section has a jagged melody with repeated ladder-like motion upwards at a faster tempo. In this section, the composer shifts to triple meter and a polyphonic texture, using the flutes and the strings to play two different melodies. Throughout the entire piece, the harmony remains in a major key. The dynamics in the piece gradually increase in volume, beginning the opening A section very soft. The Timber of the music piece varies with different durations. At the start, the
Timber can be said to be light and smooth as the volume of the music increases slowly. At
the begging, the Timber is soft but proceeds smoothly. The Timber remains flat for some
time then rises but maintains its smoothness. The texture of the music piece can be
explained as that which is heterophony or polyphonic. There is more than one voice
accompanied in the Music. The presence of different voices and instruments creates a
Heterophony texture in the Music. The drumbeats and saxophone playing give rise to
multiple voices and sounds making.
