The History of Coca- Cola Bottling Company Consolidated (CCBCC)
The Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated was formed in 1973 after a merger with other
bottling companies and was incorporated in 1980. The company bought Wometco 5 years later,
before proceeding to buy Sun-belt Coca-Cola in 1991. The company is a major maker and third
largest distributor of Coca-Cola products in the United States (Holson, 2018), along with several
other brands of unique beverages and has a target market of 65 million people in 14 states in the
USA. The company is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina
The new product
The business idea is health and fitness centers across the 14 States that the Company currently
operates and it will be launched in Charlotte, North Carolina. The company will operate health and
fitness training centers for children, men and women. Clients will need to book appointments
online, indicating the time, venue and duration of the intended training.
Regular exercising not only keeps people fit, but also serves to prevent diseases and conditions
such as stroke, high blood pressure, obesity, arthritis, among others. (Mayo Clinic, 2019).
Exercising is also a social activity, which boosts mood, gives a spark of energy and controls
weight. Obesity has been a major health concern and regular exercising is one of the best ways of
preventing or managing it. On Data.gov, there are a number of data sets related to health, and
other health topics such as obesity, overweight, heart conditions, among others.
Fitness centers will create social networks of physically fit population. Good health will be the
major theme of these centers, and members will be able to stay health, strong, and be able to

prevent certain diseases or conditions that arise due to lack of physical activity. The business will
also present a perfect opportunity to partner with nutritional food companies to promote their
products to prospective clients.
The Stakeholders
The Clients
The business will not exist if there are no clients. The uptake of the product by the clients will
determine the future expansion plans of the business.
Providers of Gym Equipment Facilities
The initial plan is to partner with providers of such facilities for installation and maintenance.
Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated
CCBCC will be the main financier of the idea, with all the control and rights to profits or losses.
Stakeholder Needs

Client will need safe and reliable facilities with adequate amenities where they can
exercise at affordable rates

CCBCC will be interested in more returns. The company is an established brand and will
be able to rely on its assets and human resource for the initial venture.
