Create a spreadsheet that will perform a Dupont Analysis for this stock vs. an industry average.
For this exercise, calculate the Dupont ratio for Edgewell Personal Care (EPC). In addition, compile the
industry average using Edgewell’s primary competitors {Proctor & Gamble, Spectrum Brands, and
L’Oreal (OR.PA)}. Note: you do not need to download the financial statements of each competitor.
Instead, utilize Yahoo Finance (or other websites) to easily source data for each of the competitors.
Illustrate each Dupont component and highlight where Edgewell is doing better (highlighted in green)
and/or worse (highlighted in red) than the industry. Please have your Edgewell Personal Care column
next to the industry column to allow for easier illustration of the differences. Finally, please remember
to include Edgewell into your industry average calculation.
